About Us


From the imagination and business foresight of entrepreneur and founder Anne Rogul, The Time of Day was created during a time when women in business were rare. Through perseverance and determination, Anne created a legacy that is now our privilege and honour to uphold as the third generation family owned business enters its 44th year in publishing.

Anne created The Time of Day as a restaurant and theatre guide of Toronto using original pencil drawings of the city in an appointment calendar and notebook format. With its success, a National edition was created expanding the publications across Canada.

With her knack for business and marketing, Anne recognized the value in print marketing and began offering customizing opportunities to companies to feature their brand and logo on Time of Day products. These books were then used as promotional material, gifted to existing and prospective clients.

Today, we are thrilled to be a full service custom publishing house that works alongside companies to create one-of-a-kind publications.


Our design process begins with a conversation to learn more about the notebook style and content that you envision.
Our designers can produce draft outputs of cover artwork for you or help guide your design team to produce the print ready files and take care of all final typesetting.
Once we’ve narrowed down your design and know your quantities, we provide you with an accurate quote.

Every order includes unlimited digital proofs for your approval before going to press. Available on request we can provide a hard copy proof for a small fee.

Production will not begin until you are completely satisfied and have signed off on your proof. All orders are packed to guarantee perfection so that no scratches, turned page corners or other errors occur, guaranteeing that your order leaves the building 100% perfect!

We pride ourselves on meeting your deadlines with our quick turn around time of roughly 10 business days once we receive all designs and final approval!
